Aurum Snacks Pty Ltd (ABN 69 676 040 672) ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and online store. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.

What We Collect

  • Contact and delivery details — name, email, phone, billing and shipping address.
  • Order and payment information — items purchased, transaction details. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store your full card number.
  • Account information — login details and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Communications — messages you send us, such as customer service enquiries.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type and site interactions, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse our store.

How We Use It

We use personal information to process and deliver your orders, provide customer service, manage refunds and replacements, detect and prevent fraud, comply with our legal obligations (including tax and consumer law), and — if you have opted in or would reasonably expect it — send you marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Who We Disclose It To

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to the service providers we need to run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes data on our behalf (see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy);
  • Australia Post and other carriers, to deliver your order;
  • Payment processors, to take payment securely;
  • Analytics and marketing platforms (such as Google), in connection with site analytics and advertising;
  • Government agencies or regulators where required by law.

Overseas Storage

Our store is hosted by Shopify, so personal information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Australia (including the United States and Canada). We take reasonable steps to ensure providers handle it consistently with Australian privacy law.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the store (e.g. keeping items in your cart), measure site performance, and support advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.

Security and Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, transaction records kept for tax purposes).

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing contact@aurumsnacks.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. You can also manage certain data held by Shopify via the Shopify Privacy Portal.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first at contact@aurumsnacks.com and we will investigate and respond.
